After a brief introduction, we will do a walkabout through herb beds, fields and woods to identify and gather plants at Trayfoot and discuss their uses. Then, while the herbs are drying, we will have an herbal remedies class and instruction on making tinctures. Finally, you will choose an herb (from about 170 herbs), make your tincture and take it home!
Herbal teas will be provided. If you want to sit at the pond, visit and have lunch after the workshop, you may bring a bag lunch.
This workshop will be held rain or shine, so wear appropriate clothing and shoes. It is easy walking and we will probably be outside for about an hour.

Ever wondered why Tai Chi (Taiji) and Qigong (Chinese Yoga) are the cornerstones of so many holistic/natural health and healing programs? Come find out in a fast-paced workshop explaining these slow-moving healing movement forms.
Also learn techniques for lowering blood-pressure, reducing stress and strengthening heart and lungs while getting a taste of this ancient Chinese healing art form. In my experience, almost anything that is wrong with you will get better with regular Tai Chi practice and is especially beneficial for those with chronic, degenerative diseases like arthritis, diabetes, and any other pain conditions (i.e. fibromyalgia). Also excellent for rebalancing the body after strenuous exercise.
These healing arts are also for anyone who is interested in naturally rebuilding or maintaining their physical health, increasing their mental focus/clarity, and enhancing their spiritually and not just living longer, but living longer better. Tai Chi and Qigong are not miracle cures, however they were the catalyst for rebuilding my health and the cornerstone for maintaining it!
Come find out what it’s all about! This is a stand alone class, however, you may sign up for Tai Chi Basics and/or Qigong weekly classes.
Please call and express your interest so we can let you know the date.
