Free! New Year Qigong at Trayfoot Mountain Outdoor Tai Chi Pavilion

Safe Classes for Modern Times!

After 9/11, I felt we all needed to let go of the anger, fear and even hatred which this event ignited, so I created a New Year Qigong form. We held this event every New Year for 12 years and now, after the events of the last couple of years, I feel we need to bring it back. We will have this special event on New Year’s Day at 2pm on our Tai Chi Pavilion at Trayfoot Mountain Studio (weather permitting). It free and everyone is welcome!

In the spirit of keeping everyone safe and not spreading colds, flu, RSV and of course covid-19 and all its variations, we will be outside and will observe the now standard 6-foot rule. The Tai Chi Pavilion is an outdoor, uncovered, open air pavilion which will give us a solid base to work on while letting us enjoy and benefit from nature’s energies.

Another advantage of having classes here at my home base is we can reschedule a class if weather causes a cancelation. If January 1st is rained or snowed out, we will reschedule to Saturday January 7th. We are outside so dress warmly and in layers!

This form encourages us to look at all the detrimental energies and emotions that have assaulted us over the last couple of years, let those destructive energies go and embrace the beneficial energies of the new year. This is a wonderful form that encourages our positive commitment to the new year, to our friends and family, and to ourselves. Bless Us!

The form only takes about 30 minutes, however, hardier souls are invited to sit around the fire in the pagoda overlooking the pond for a renewal meditation and then visit with a cup of warm!
